FotoWorks - edit your photos with ease
In the world of image editing, Adobe Photoshop is the most known application. But being famous doesn't mean that the application is the best. The truth is that Photshop is difficult to use for beginners, takes some time to be mastered, requires a very fast computer in order to run optimally and costs a lot of money. On the other hand, FotoWorks, an alternative image editing software, offers almost all the Photoshop functionality in a lighter package.
The program is very simple to install and to use. After installing and running FotoWorks, the user will notice that the interface features some sample modified images, which are meant to prove the program's functionality.
The user can easily add images into the program's interface. This can be done in two ways, either by importing each image or by importing complete image folders and having thumbnails for all of them displayed in the left part of the interface. After adding the desired images, the user will be able to edit them by accessing the many tabs included.
As such, images can be rotated or flipped in several ways. In case there are unwanted objects inside an image, they can be easily removed using the crop tool. What's more, different effects can be applied to an image, like a brightness and contrast correction, border, text and so on. All these effects can correct an image and can also make it more interesting and more appealing.
But this is not all that FotoWorks can do, as it can also add various clipart objects to an image, can remove the red eye effect and even allows you to create photo collages. After an image has been edited, in can be printed in various ways, either as a simple photo, as a calendar or poster.
Pros:
It allows you to add various effects and corrections to images. Besides that, several images can be imported at the same time in the program's interface and displayed as thumbnails. Furthermore, various printing projects can be created.
Cons:
The number of supported image formats is a bit limited.
